Interested in a custom enclosure for your project or object? I'm happy to work with you to create a specialized box or binding to support your project. I'm book binder located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and can work with folks from all over!

What can I do?
I specialize in creating clamshell boxes, drop spine boxes, hinged lid boxes (cigar box style), display boxes, nested boxes, and slipcases to hold books and other ephemera. I can also create bespoke bindings, from simple to unusually complex.

What don't I do?
At this time, I am not able to work with leather materials for enclosures and bindings. I also do not do book repair, however, please reach out and I can connect you with amazing folks that do exactly that!

What materials do I use?
While I do have a small variety of decorative papers and book cloth on hand, for larger projects material will likely be ordered from a reputable supplier. This allows for customization of your project while eliminating significant overhead and storage issues for my studio. For smaller projects requiring material orders, the material cost might be slightly higher as there are generally minimum size orders (1/2 yard of bookcloth, for example) from the suppliers.

What's the turnaround time?
Depends! Based on the size and scope of the project and whether or not materials need to ordered, some projects can be completed in a week, others may take a month or longer depending on workload.
